Earlier in the day, the Sensex and Nifty declined for the third session amid continued weakness in global markets due to rising Covid-19 cases in Europe and uncertainty ahead of the US elections.
After gyrating 746 points during the day, the 30-share BSE Sensex ended 135.78 points or 0.34 per cent lower at 39,614.07. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty slipped 28.40 points or 0.24 per cent to 11,642.40.

>> Rattan India Finance sold 96,79,353 shares of Siti Networks at Rs 0.60 per share.
>> Sundar Radhakrishnan sold 2,50,000 shares of Majesco at Rs 920.07 per share, while Rajasthan Global Securities bought 2,40,843 shares at Rs 920.05.
>> Biswajit Talukdar bought 15,000 shares of Radhagobind Commercial at Rs 13.35, while Fastner Machinery Dealers sold 18,756 shares at Rs 13.35 per share.
