Marico, Godrej and Himalaya list value-selection on Snapdeal to widen reach in non-metros

Top fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies Marico, Godrej and Himalaya have partnered e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal to cater to the growing demand for their value-product portfolio in non-metros.

The companies will list their select popular brands such as Livon, Set Wet and Parachute from Marico, Godrej Expert and Hit from Godrej, Himalaya Baby Lotion, Lotus Herbal facial kits, Lacto Calamine face wash and Vaseline petroleum jelly.

According to Snapdeal, online buying has gained momentum and the number of first-time users has been growing steadily on the platform due to pandemic-led changes.

“The acceleration in online shopping presents an opportunity to increase consumer choices and offer brands access to a much larger, deep market,” said a Snapdeal spokesperson.

As part of the arrangement, the products will be sold on the platform directly by dealers and authorised by the brands.

Many upcoming brands including The Man Company, Mamaearth, and Ustraa have also partnered with Snapdeal to penetrate non-metros. Snapdeal has about five lakh registered sellers and services around 27,000 pin codes.
